Co-Devisor/Designer/Maker: Touring Educational Dance Performance for Powys Dance

I was co-devisor/designer/maker for this dance performance, commissioned by arts charity PowysDance to deliver Key Stage 2 science topics to local schools. In collaboration with two dancers and a composer, I managed design/delivery within a limited budget (£4k), and Flying Atoms went on to tour UK science festivals, totalling 50 performances at 30 UK venues, marking PowysDance’s first visit to the Edinburgh Fringe. Funded by the Welsh Government/Arts Council of Wales partnership, ‘Creative Learning through the Arts’, as a creative collaboration engaging science-art through performance, Flying Atoms has led to a research collaboration between PowysDance and Imperial College, London.
